Shy about strategy

Traditional rules of competitive strategy focus on competitors, suppliers, and customers. In the information economy, companies selling complementary components, or complementors, are equally important.
I've been struggling on strategy at work lately. It's a little surprising, because when I wrote my own business plan in a similar space a few years ago, the strategy came very naturally. I'm not sure if I'm overwhelmed by the amount going on, or the number of people who have deep personal investment in the company. No matter what, it's been hard putting pen to paper to define the long-term strategy. I've been meaning to read Porter's book
